I sit down with Dave who served with the British Army for 12 years, he served within the United Kingdom Special Forces as a support group operator in the Parachute Regiment, completing 10 tours of duty. During his period in the Army, he was awarded the mention in dispatches for gallantry on the battlefield. The period between 2009, while unable to control his emotion on his second tour of Afghanistan, Dave found the gym on camp and there grew his passion for weight lifting and wellbeing. Ever since then it has become a massive part of his lifestyle, which led him to take a huge love for fitness and wellbeing.
Dave uses his online platform to deliver valuable advice and guidance pertaining to the likes of mental health and many of life's challenges we're all likely to encounter. Using his personal experiences from his extensive career in UK Special Forces, as well as his own struggles with PTSD in his subsequent civilian life, Dave offers an uninhibited, well-founded outlook that many will relate to and benefit from. Since leaving the Army, Dave has continued to develop his knowledge on all things health & fitness and has completed various qualifications in mental health.
Dave won the mention in dispatches for gallantry in Afghanistan saving the lives of many soldiers in a selfless act.
